All the kids from the Hoglund Easter Bash

Ella woke us bright and early this morning to see if the Easter Bunny had visited us last night. She was very excited to find all of the eggs and open the presents he left, one of them being the tent she is sitting in for this picture.
Ella had a full plan last night to prepare for the Easter Bunny. We dyed the eggs and left them out of on the counter so he'd find them. We also put a plate with carrots on the front steps so that he'd have something to eat (so thoughtful).
Now we're resting up for the big family Easter Egg hunt and brunch at her cousins' house later this morning. After that we have dinner plans with our neighbors and I'm sure we'll all be ready to pass out into an Easter coma later this evening.

Ella with her haul after finding all of the eggs. This was her warm-up for the big family Easter Egg Hunt at with cousins later this morning.

Ella was very proud of the eggs she dyed.

Ella and Maggie took their first bath together last night.

We went to the Tulip Festival in Woodburn, OR. We'd been there before and it was pretty cool. 40 acres of Tulips, views of Mount Hood in the background, fun things for the kids to do. Like I said, pretty cool. We piled the kids, my mom and Jerri, and Steph and I into 2 cars to drive an hour down to Woodburn, the whole time building the hype surrounding the festival only to arrive to 4o acres of empty fields. It seems it's been too cold thus far this spring and there were NO tulips. The picture above was the tulip any of us saw that day. And people ask us why we don't make plans.

Duck races at the Woodburn Tulip Festival. We totally beat the kid next to us. Just like Ricky Bobby says, "If you aint first, you're last!"

Ella went to her friend Mazy's birthday party last weekend. It was a Princess Party and Ella had a great time with Snow White. We even got a magic mirror as a party favor and lucky for us it makes noises. I should say, MADE noises. Sadly, it broke soon after we brought it home....

Adam's mom Sue and her friend Jerri came out and stayed with us for 2 weeks. They helped out while Adam was at work and spent a lot of time with the girls. Maggie and Ella both miss them a lot.

Ella and Maggie had their pictures taken while Sue and Jerri were visiting us. It was a horrible ordeal but we did get some cute pics out of it.
